MVSHRM COMMITTEE GOALS
MEMBERSHIP:
· Focus on increasing chapter and national memberships (20% goal for chapter and 10% goal for national)
· Update orientation packages for new members
· Contact inactive members and seek to reactivate
PROGRAMS:
· Incorporate "ice breakers" at each meeting
· Create programs that are "interactive" with members
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
· Enlist members to be media contacts
· Revive newsletter - publication quarterly or biannually
FUNDRAISING:
· Fundraising goal of $5,000
· Increase awareness and visibility of MVSHRM to general community
· Develop an "on call" network of Subject Matter Experts
LEGISLATIVE:
· Develop questionnaires to gauge membership interest in upcoming legislation
· Grass Roots Letter information
· Coordinate chapter representation for Washington and Albany Days
COLLEGE RELATIONS:
· Recruit students to attend monthly meetings
· Recruit students to attend the Philadelphia conference

MVSHRM Executive Committee Descriptions
The executive committee of MVSHRM consists of five officers: President, President Elect, Vice President - Programs, Second Vice President - Membership, Treasurer.
All executive members assist with the leadership and direction of the entire organization and it's sub committees. All executive members should attend quarterly board meetings, monthly executive meetings and business meetings as scheduled. In addition, executive members are expected to follow the SHRM's Code of Ethics in order to promote and maintain the highest standards among its members. President:
Position Summary: Provide leadership to the local chapter consistent with state, regional, and SHRM policy, strategies and objectives. TREASURER:
Position Summary: Acts as financial officer and advisor to chapter Board of Directors. Oversees meeting registration, maintains chapter accounts, deposits all chapter revenues and pays all chapter bills.
